Sáng ngày 27/2, tại Trung tâm Văn hóa, Thể thao và Truyền thông huyện Phú Lương, Ban Chỉ đạo Vận động hiến máu tình nguyện tỉnh Thái Nguyên đã tổ chức khai mạc Lễ hội Xuân hồng năm 2023; tuyên dương, khen thưởng các tập thể, cá nhân và gia đình có thành tích xuất sắc trong phong trào hiến máu tình nguyện năm 2022. Dự Khai mạc có đại diện lãnh đạo các sở, ban, ngành của tỉnh, đông đảo cán bộ, công chức, viên chức, đoàn viên thanh niên, tình nguyện viên và người dân đến tham gia hiến máu.
Trải qua 12 năm, Lễ hội Xuân Hồng đã trở thành nét đẹp văn hóa đầu xuân, thu hút đông đảo người dân tham dự và tiếp nhận hàng nghìn đơn vị máu. Qua đó, khẳng định sức lan tỏa, khơi dậy hàng vạn tấm lòng nhân ái trong cộng đồng. Sự kiện cũng góp phần quan trọng vào việc thay đổi quan niệm, tạo dựng thói quen tích cực của người dân về việc hiến máu tình nguyện; giúp cung cấp lượng máu lớn, an toàn, hiệu quả, phục vụ kịp thời cho công tác cấp cứu và điều trị. Riêng năm 2022, tỉnh Thái Nguyên đã tiếp nhận trên 29.000 đơn vị máu, đạt 104% kế hoạch, tỷ lệ người hiến máu nhắc lại đạt 65%, tỷ lệ dân số tham gia hiến máu tình nguyện của tỉnh đạt 1,6%. Lễ hội năm nay tổ chức tại huyện Phú Lương, Ban Tổ chức đã thu được 580 đơn vị máu đạt tiêu chuẩn.
Khác với hàng ngàn lễ hội đầu xuân diễn ra trên cả nước, Xuân Hồng là lễ hội duy nhất mà người đến tham dự không cầu xin bất cứ điều gì cho bản thân, cho gia đình, mà chỉ là trao tặng những giọt máu quý giá. Chính tinh thần trách nhiệm với cộng đồng “hiến giọt máu hồng – trao đời sự sống” đó đã làm nên sự đặc biệt, riêng có của Lễ hội Xuân Hồng.
Tại Lễ hội, Ban Tổ chức đã tuyên dương các tập thể, cá nhân và gia đình có nhiều đóng góp trong phong trào hiến máu tình nguyện. Trong đó, 03 gia đình và 01 cá nhân của tỉnh Thái Nguyên đã vinh dự nhận Bằng khen của Thủ tướng Chính phủ.
